SABUDANEY KI KHEER (SAGO PUDDING)
Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Sabudana (Sago)
- 1 liter Milk
- 1 cup Sugar1 tablespoon chopped Almonds
- ½ tsp. Ilaichi powder (Green Cardamom Powder)
Method of Preparation:
- Wash the Sabudana well in water. Drain it, but not completely. Let a little water remain in the Sabudana. Cover it and leave for 1-2 hours. The Sabudana (Sago) will swell up and get soft. Do not soak it in too much water, otherwise it will get mushy.
- Boil the Milk.
- Add Sabudana, Ilaichi Powder to the boiled Milk and heat the Milk on low flame for 10-15 minutes or till the Milk thickens. Stir regularly.
- Add Sugar and mix it well. On low heat, stir regularly, for 5 minutes or till a thick consistency is obtained.
- Remove from Heat and transfer to a Serving Dish.
- Garnish with sliced Almonds.
- Refrigerate till Chilled.
