Pethey ka Halwa (Pumpkin Halwa)
Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups grated Petha/ Kaddu (Pumpkin)
For better flavor, use a Pumpkin which has a Reddish Orange Color - 2 tbsp. Pure Ghee
- ½ cup powdered Sugar
- ½ tsp. Ilaichi Powder (Green Cardamom Powder)
- 1 tbsp. chopped Almonds
Method of Preparation:
- Take a thick bottomed Pan. Add Ghee and heat the Pan on low flame.
- Add the grated Petha and Powdered Sugar to the Pan. Mix these well.
- Stir regularly and cook till the mix becomes very soft.
- Keep on mashing, till you get a smooth pulp.
- Cook till it leaves the sides of the Pan.
- Transfer to a Serving Dish.
- Garnish with Ilaichi Powder and chopped Almonds.
Serve Hot and Enjoy!
